J. L. Childress Co. was created over 20 years ago from one mother's needs. As a working mother intent on breastfeeding her infant for as long as possible, Jan Childress designed a tote bag to carry her breastpump and a separate insulated bag with reusable ice pack to care for the expressed milk until she arrived home. She marketed the Express bag to other working moms. The insulated tote was marketed individually as the DuffleCOOL and sales increased rapidly. Jan worked tirelessly around her babies' schedules to design and market additional products to meet the needs of today's active parents.
