The first of its kind, Sunshine Kids Radian 65 SL was conceptualized and designed around a set of strict safety and performance parameters.
The Sunshine Kids Radian 65 SL is a convertible car seat for rear-facing children 5-40 lbs
and forward-facing children up to 65 lbs in a 5-point harness. Its
steel alloy frame and SuperLATCH system are NCAP crash tested, making
it the first car seat to allow lower anchor installation up to 65 lbs -
no seat belt required. Radian 65 SL features reinforced sides and
protective EPS foam panels for side impact protection and SafeStop an
energy absorbing harness system. Its low profile makes child boarding a
snap and its unique design provides more shoulder room yet still fits
3-across in a mid-size car. It features extra foam padding for a
comfortable ride. All this and Radian 65 SL can fold flat to just 7" for
easy travel and storage. With a steel alloy frame, Radian 65 SL is the strongest, most advanced car seat available, and it's the only one in the world that folds flat.
The Sunshine Kids Radian 65 SL positions the child's center of gravity as low and as far back as possible on the vehicle seat for optimal restraint performance, especially in oblique-angled crashes, which is how most car accidents occur.
Radian 65 SL's patented steel frame means no bulky plastic structure. Compared to other car seats, Sunshine Kids Radian Seats offer more shoulder room, more leg support and fits three across in a car.

Tip: Many cars do not allow top tether use with a child above 48 lbs. That's why the Sunshine Kids Radian 65 was designed for up to 65 lbs without a top tether, and the crash test results were fantastic.

*To measure torso height, sit child against a wall and measure from floor to shoulders. This is the most important factor besides weight in determining if a child will fit in a particular car seat.
