Depending
on the seat, your child may be able to use this seat for up to at least
the age of 8 or 9. For many children, a Youth 5-point harness seat will
most likely be the last car seat they will be in.
Keeping your child in a 5-point harness as long as possible is always the safest option.
The most important factor when deciding whether a child will fit into any car seat is their torso height also
known as "seated shoulder height". Most children outgrow seats by
height long before weight, so be sure and measure and know your child's
torso height when shopping for a car seat. Torso height can be
measured by sitting the child against a wall and measuring from the floor to their shoulders (NOT the top of their head). All car seats on Hip Monkey have their max torso height listed to help you choose the right car seat for your child.
