The RECARO Como convertIble car seat is a forward or rear facing child seat featuring RECARO Side Impact Protection (SIP), plush microfiber fabrics, and a thick adjustable headrest. The Como is a highly adjustable car seat, with a harness and headrest that adapt to your son or daughter's growing body. The Recaro Como's adjustability, superior safety features, and high harness weight capacity may make it the only carseat you will ever need.

The RECARO Como convertible is a smart investment that will keep your child secure from infancy to 70 lbs.  The generous padding and deep wings of the RECARO Como car seat will keep your child safe and comfortable during trips short or long, and the back cover ensures that your vehicle's valuable seats won't be torn or damaged.

What is the difference between the Signo and the Como?   We hear this question a lot and rightfully so since the seats look identical in pictures.  There are 3 main differences between the Signo and Como...
1. The Signo's side impact protection wings are built into the seat and are not removable (but are adjustable, they move up and down with the harness).  The Como wings are not part of the seat and are removable but because of this, they can be "floppy" and hard to keep in place when placing a child into the car seat. 
2. The Como has 1 inch higher top harness height than the Signo, but a little less shoulder room.
3. The Signo's harness is adjusted by a knob on the side of the car seat so you do not have to uninstall the seat to change the harness height.  The Como has slots that you thread the straps through so when your child outgrows his/her current setting, you will have to uninstall the seat to rethread the straps.

RECARO COMO CONVENIENCE

The RECARO Como is one of only a few convertible car seats with an adjustable headrest. This unique option also adds an extra layer of plush padding to the headrest area, raising the sleep-ability that many other car seats lack. In addition, the Como's padded 5-point harness allows for a snug fit without causing discomfort, and the harness is fully adjustable to accommodate your child's growth.

A major benefit to owning a RECARO Como convertible carseat is the high 5-point harness weight capacity. This seat will last a long time and really does grow with your child. For added convenience, the seat is equipped with belt lock-offs for use with seat-belt installs. 

RECARO COMO INSTALLATION

The RECARO Como is a convertible car seat that can be forward or rear facing, depending on your child's size. It installs easily with push-button LATCH or your vehicle's safety belts. The Como's LATCH tethers attach easily to your vehicle's anchors, and stow away conveniently within the base when not in use.

Engineered for child comfort and safety, the Como protects your baby or toddler while providing a very satisfying ride. The EPS lined side wings and headrest (a.k.a. RECARO Side Impact Protection) of the Como's deep seat provide additional impact absorption in the event of a side collision, as well a more comfortable, sleep-friendly seat.   

RECARO COMO COMFORT

The Recaro Como – and most RECARO car seats – are wrapped in Microfiber materials on top of thick, impact absorbent padding, making them very comfortable to sit in and easy to clean. The Como has extra (removable) padding in the seat and sides for rear-facing infant riders.

RECARO COMO SAFETY

Every RECARO children's car seat is engineered to provide peak protection for your child in the event of a collision. The Como is one of a select group of convertible car seats with a harness weight capacity of 70 lbs – most convertible seats cannot exceed 40 lbs.

The Como uses a 5-point adjustable harness and lower LATCH tethers or your vehicle safety belts to secure the seat. The head and side wings of the Como are lined with impact absorbing EPS foam.

RECOMMENDED USE

Rear Facing Child Weight: 5lbs - 35lbs.

Forward Facing Child Weight: 20lbs - 70lbs.

Child Standing Height: Up to 50"

Max Child Seated Torso Height: 19"

*To measure torso height, sit child against a wall and measure from floor to shoulders.  This is the most important factor besides weight in determining if a child will fit in a particular car seat.
